PM or Philippine American Messenger or philamessenger started to see print
before 2016 as a Filipino American community online news outlet (ONO).
Sometime before the end of 2019, the email address (my email address)
associated with the registration of my domain name, philamessenger.com, was
hacked, preventing me from renewing my domain name, which was grabbed by a
well-known domain name registrar, which refused to return it to me unless I
pay six (6) times the original amount of the subscription. This prompted me
to apply for philamessenger.net domain name, which I still hold today.
When I started posting my newsfeeds in my personal Facebook account, my
posting of my newsfeeds was suspended for violations of “community
standards” when I posted a controversial article which advocated for a
change of government in the Philippines.
Since I can no longer post any other newsfeeds from my PM, I changed the
name of my outlet from Ulat Viral News and later Ulat Time.
After several months of hiatus figuring out how to update my website, I
tried to repost newsfeeds from philamessenger.net, which fortunately saw
print again. This prompted me to go back to my original philamessenger.net
outlet.
An auto-didact in developing this website, I have been single-handedly
coming out with this community outlet to inform, entertain, update and
hopefully seek subscription and advertisement and donation from my readers
so I have money to pay for my bills and my contributors.
This administrator of this website has been a veteran journalist in the
Philippines and in the U.S. He earned Bachelors of Science in Journalism in
the Lyceum University of the Philippines and took up post-graduate courses
in journalism at Roosevelt University in Chicago, Illinois. He can be
